The VT 2000 / 4×4 has a self-supporting plastic body that was specially developed over 3 years and can be placed on different chassis several times as required. This solution can be used for Mercedes Sprinter and VW-LT with a maximum permissible total weight between 2.8 t and 7.5 t.
The special feature of this seamless, one-piece laminated and cast body is its extremely low weight, which can be achieved using state-of-the-art techniques and materials. Compared to conventional armor, significantly higher payloads can be achieved. The special plastic solution and the elastic body (golf ball principle) result in further advantages such as low fuel and wear parts consumption (due to the low weight), avoidance of corrosion or elimination of deformation of the GRP parts.
The versatile use of this model, e.g. as a cash transport vehicle, ambulance vehicle or troop transport, speaks for itself, as do its excellent driving characteristics and off-road mobility, which it achieves even in high tank levels thanks to its low weight. This vehicle is available with 4×4 all-wheel drive technology (permanent or switchable all-wheel drive) and with normal drive.
